Take A Course

  

 

FIRST AID  -  Cost: $20.00

This course trains participants to become familiar with how to recognize and give care. It covers emergency care for conscious choking, bleeding, splinting, and other first aid emergencies. Respiratory and Cardiac emergencies are NOT covered in this course. American Red Cross certification in First Aid Basics will be issued upon successful completion. Certification is good for 3 years.

ADULT CPR/AED  -  Cost: $25.00

This course trains individuals to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adults. American Red Cross certification in Adult CPR will be issued upon successful completion. Textbook included with registration. Certification is good for 1 year.

 

INFANT & CHILD CPR  -  Cost: $25.00

This course teaches parents and caregivers to overcome their reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in infants and children. American Red Cross certification for Infant and Child CPR will be issued upon successful completion. Each participant will receive a textbook. Certification is good for 1 year.

 

CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCURER
WITH CHILD AED
 -  Cost: $40.00

This course is designed for the individual with the duty to respond appropriately in respiratory and cardiac emergency situations. Each participant will receive a textbook and a pocket mask. Upon successful completion, an American Red Cross certificate for CPR for the Professional Rescuer will be issued. Certification is good for 1 year.

 

CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESUCRE REVIEW
WITH CHILD AED REVIEW
 -  Cost: $20.00

You must have a current CPR certificate in order to take a review course. Please send a copy of your current certification with your registration. There will be a brief review of the materials before the written test and skill check. Participants should review course materials before attending class. Bring current textbook and pocket mask to class.

 

EMERGENCY RESPONSE  -  Cost: $200.00

The purpose of this course is to train those individuals who have a duty to respond in emergency situations (FIRST RESPONDERS) with the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life, reduce pain and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives.  This course includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer, specialized skills and techniques used by those individuals who have a duty to respond in emergency situations.  It is highly recommended for police, fire, emergency squad, camp staff and workplace rapid response personnel.  Total of 54 hours.

We need a minimum of 6 people in order to run this class. If you would like to take this class please call us and your name will be added to a waiting list. As soon as we have 6 students we will announce dates for the class

CPR courses require strenuous physical activity. If you have any health problems (such as asthma, emphysema, knee, back or neck problems) or any other condition that could limit your full participation, we recommend that you check with your physician before enrolling in a class. If you have any open sores, cuts or signs of a communicable disease or active cold or sore throat, you should consider taking the course at a later time.

 

NJ-EMT Continuing Education

Free to eligible to use the NJ-EMT Training Fund (Training Fund Eligibility from must be presented at time of class)

All others must pay the cost listed for the applicable class.

 

Bloodborne Pathogen (2 NJ-EMT CEU’s Available)

Cost: $10.00

 

NJSP Hazmat Awareness (Minimum Class Size 6 Students)

Initial Awareness Class (4 NJ-EMT CEU’s Available)

Time Requirement: 4.5 hours

Cost: $20.00

 

Awareness Refresher Class (2 NJ-EMT CEU’s Available)

Time Requirement: 2.5 hours

Cost: $10.00

 

Cost includes:

Presentation, handouts, completion certificates and CD containing one PDF of the textbook applicable to the class and current Emergency Response Guide
